MARY ANDERSON CELTIC HARPIST
From her most humble beginnings Busking on the streets of Toronto to Touring the World, Mary Anderson expressed her musical talents to audiences of thousands….hundreds of thousands over the decades. As a musician she has been described in words ranging from beautiful to enchanting…even whimsical at times. Nonetheless….whatever word is used, when you hear Mary perform….for the first time… or… after many times you will most certainly want to enjoy her music again….and again.
And if this is not enough to entice your curiosity…there is more about her talents that is extra-ordinary. Mary was born with one arm….but with the help of a prosthesis she over-came what many would have called a disability ….elevating it to an attainable challenge.
In the end Mary Anderson rose through the musical ranks to the elegant heights of world accomplishments.
Now…a resident of Manitoulin Island, decades from her humble beginnings Mary is still delivering her music to the island, across the country and around the world. And…most intriguingly she often expresses a fanciful desire to explore her roots (Busking at the St. Lawrence Market in Toronto…) but today.maybe not in the big city. Instead Busking at The Gore Bay or Kagawong Farmer's Markets on Manitoulin Island.
In the near future Mary Anderson will also be offering her musical, Celtic Harp talents to performances locally at weddings and social functions.
